See, what I like to do is point out that Greenpeace was founded by two ex-Sierra Clubbers and a Quaker Friend. Their maiden voyage imitated a Quaker Friend (of Jesus action in the 1950s. The Sierra Club was founded by John Muir, a guy trained rigorously in the Bible as a youth, and whose spiritual appreciation of Nature´s wonders led him to found such an important group with such an important destiny until now. The Evangelical Environmental Network, founded shortly after the UN´s 1992 Rio Earth Summit, makes a nice reconnection if you´re a literalist, or GreenFaith if you´re more liberal.
